Swinford is a nucleated village in Leicestershire with a population of c600. The Norman 12th Century Church, All Saints, stands proudly in the centre of the village overlooking the The Chequers Pub and the village green.
Its Anglo-Saxon name was "Suin Heaford" meaning "the head of the Suin" referring to a tributary of the River Avon.
The village green is used for events throughout the year, The Chequers is the hub of the village with home made food, entertainment, traditional pub games, garden and marquee for large events.

Excellent transport links by rail to London in 55 minutes direct, Birmingham International Airport in 22 minutes, direct from Rugby Railway Station.
